Methods of payment

All registrations must be accompanied by payment. Registration is not confirmed until payment has been received. Payment will only be made online through the Conference website, redirected to the secure webpage of  Creact.eve  http://www.creacteve.com.br/treebiotech2011the Events agency that is handling registration payments and hotel booking. Payments can be made either by credit card (Visa, MasterCard or AMEX in the credit mode, not debit) or by “Boleto Bancário” a system only available for payments made through Brazilian banks.

Please note that the total amount indicated will be converted into Brazilian currency with the exchange rate of the day in order to be authorized by the bank (the exchange rate fluctuates around 1 US Dollar = 1.75 Brazilian Reais).Charges on your Credit Card statement will appear in the name of the agency and will be converted to your currency.   Due to exchange rate fluctuations, small variation can occur in the amount that will be charged to your credit card.

Wire transfers will be accepted in special cases (e.g. institutional payments) although not encouraged. An extra processing cost of the wire transfer (between 50 to 100 USD ) will be charged and up to 2 or 3 weeks are necessary for the charge to be completed by the banks involved. Registration Confirmation

Upon receipt of full payment, the Event agency will  send a confirmation e-mail  and update the registrations received  to feed the conference webpage system with this information. In the secure personal profile accessible by the delegate in the conference management system (COMS) the delegate will be able to check the confirmation of registration.

In case you experience any delay longer than 10 working days, please contact Creact.eve at treebiotech2011@creacteve.com.br to solve the issue.

When payments are made by wire transfer, significant delays can occur of up to two months depending on the country and bank used. We therefore strongly recommend international delegates to pay through credit card whenever possible.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Registration cancellations received in writing (e-mail) by the conference secretariat at treebiotech2011@creacteve.com.br  by May 31, 2011 will be accepted and all fees refunded, less a US$ 50 administrative fee (as per the Organizing Committee policy).

Cancellations received after May 31, 2011 will not be refunded. However, transfer of your registration to another person is acceptable. A completed Registration Form for the new person must be faxed or e-mailed to the conference secretariat (treebiotech2011@creacteve.com.br) prior to the Conference, explaining who is being replaced. DO NOT USE THE ON-LINE REGISTRATION FORM FOR THIS PROCEDURE. No refunds will be made for non-attendance at the Conference.
