Conference Venue
Arraial d'Ajuda is district of Porto Seguro. It is a small and very charming town, founded by hippies in the 70's. Besides its wonderful beaches and a vibrant night life, Arraial d' Ajuda is a top destination for extreme sports and ecotourism.

To get to Arraial d' Ajuda you will fly into Porto Seguro International Airport (airport code BPS). Porto Seguro is served by several daily flights by Brazilian airlines TAM and GOL from the main state capitals of Brazil such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Recife, Brasilia and Belo Horizonte. These capitals, in turn, receive flights from all over the world. The Brazilian carrier TAM has several flights from Europe and North America and code-share flights from Africa, Asia and Australia. From Europe, TAP has daily flights to several capital cities in Brazil besides São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro and it is therefore a great choice for those coming from Europe. From North America, all the major American airlines (AA, United, Delta, Continental) fly to São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and some of them also fly to other cities such as Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, Salvador, Recife. Because several airlines are available to fly to Brazil and competitive prices can be found over the internet directly with the airlines companies or through travel search engines we did not adopt a "Preferred airline".
Although several connecting flights to Porto Seguro are typically available, it is a major touristic destination and therefore flights are always on demand. It is recommended to book your ticket in advance to avoid long lay-over between connecting flights coming from abroad.
Furthermore delegates can also check prices of travel packages that typically include airfare and hotel accommodation in Arraial d' Ajuda. The prices of such packages can be very competitive because the conference date is still in the low season, actually a the week before the mid-year high season starts in Brazil. If opting for travel packages, be sure that you choose a hotel close to the Convention center in Arraial d' Ajuda, although Porto Seguro can also be an option with several hotels near the ferry boat to Arraial d' Ajuda. For Brazilian delegates, travel packages can really be a good option as the conference fits exactly the common one-week period of travel packages (from Saturday to Saturday).
